Yukie Sakō (Japanese: 佐光 幸恵, Hepburn: Sakō Yukie) is a Japanese animator, character designer and animation director that is known for her work for the first two seasons of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal series.

Career[edit]

Yukie Sakō started her career in the anime industry in 1992. She had contributed many episode animation direction and key animation for various anime from 1994 to 2013, such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Majestic Prince.[1][2]

In 2014, Sakō was chosen as a character designer for the Sailor Moon anime reboot series, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal. She was involved in the reboot until the end of the second season.[1][3][4][5]

In 2018, few years after Sailor Moon Crystal, Sakō was chosen as a character designer for Nil Admirari no Tenbin anime adaptation.[6]
