Zaid Ali Tahir known online as ZaidAliT,[1] is a Pakistani Canadian YouTuber[2], Social media celebrity,[3] Vlogger,[4][5][6] comedian and influencer.[7] He was born and raised by relatively low income pakistani family in Waterloo, Canada.[8] He took part in live UK TV show "United We Stand" in 2018.[9] He is recipient of PISA 2020 and Hum Award 2020.[10][11][12]

Social media career[edit]

Zaid Ali started his Youtube career in 2010 with video titled Your Profile Picture is Cute. Currently he has 5.5M facebook followers,[19] 2.9M Instagram followers[20] and 3.9M Youtube subscribers (3.21M ZaidAliT Vlogs plus 678K ZaidAliT). He allegedly turned down a role in Hollywood movie over a kissing scene.[21][22][23][24][25] In 2015, he went viral on social media when Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tweeted about Zaid's video.[26]
