Gameplay[edit]
In Zardy's Maze, the player must pick up a flashlight and axe in their tool shed before heading out into the corn maze at night. Players must navigate their way through the maze while avoiding scarecrows that pursue them in the dark.[1]
Development[edit]
Development for Zardy's Maze started back in 2017. The first announcement for the game was through a vague Twitter post on July 25th, 2018. This post mentioned the game's concept was thought of a year prior on July 22nd, 2017.[2] The game started off by utilizing capsules to block out character movement in the beta stage as revealed in its first announcement video that took place on January 18th, 2020 on the developer's YouTube channel.[3] The game was developed with a daytime environment but only a nighttime environment exists within the game. The download page for Zardy's Maze shows off this day time theme, but it is designed to be misleading.[4] This theme is carried through the official trailer as well.[5]
