ZeusLending.com is a Houston-based real estate finance provider of home equity loans, hard money loans, crowdfunding opportunities and mortgages to individual and corporate consumers.[1] The Houston Business Journal and Inc.magazine placed ZeusLending.com on the list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States.[1] Between 2007 and 2010, the company had a three-year annual growth rate of 63%. Annual revenues in 2010 were $4.9 million.[1]
History
CEO Steven Kaufman founded ZeusLending.com as Zeus Mortgage in 2004[1] to provide mortgages and home equity loans to individual consumers and offer services for corporate clients.[2] It has provided real-estate financing for companies like Exxon Mobil, Hewlett Packard, and American Express.[3] In May 2018 Zeus Mortgage, Zeus Crowdfunding, and Zeus Hard Money united into the singular ZeusLending.com brand.[4] As of 2012, ZeusLending.com has 27 employees and has locations in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas.[1]
Leadership
Steven Kaufman serves as the company's CEO. Kaufman made his first loan at the age of 14.[5]
In 2012, the Astros In Action Foundation named Kaufman the August Hometown Hero. This title recognizes Houston citizens who have assisted the local communities.[6][7] In 2011, he was also a West Houston Chamber of Commerce Star Award Finalist and a Houston Business Journal 40 Under 40 Nominee.[7] He was also ranked in the 2012 National Mortgage Professional Magazine 40 Under 40 article and was the only Houston-based mortgage professional to be recognized.[3][5][8]
Recognition
ZeusLending.com has been ranked as one of the fastest-growing private firms in the U.S. In 2009, it ranked 14 out of the 100 top companies in the Houston Business Journal's annual Houston Fast 100 list.[9][non-primary source needed] ZeusLending.com also earned the Enterprise Champion award. [10] In 2010, ZeusLending.com again ranked on the Top 100 list at number 37. The rankings are based on two-year revenue growth rates.[11][non-primary source needed] National Mortgage Professional Magazine named ZeusLending.com a "Top Mortgage Employer" in both 2015 and 2016.[12][13] The Better Business Bureau awarded the company its award for excellence in 2015.[14] In 2016, the Houston Business Journal named Zeuslending.com a "top Place to Work".[15] The company received Best Employee Appreciation in 2017 from Houstonia Magazine.[16]
