Áine Rose Campbell (born 21 February 1987) is a British community organizer, model and sustainability advocate.[1] Áine is part Chinese, Irish, Scottish and English.[2]
Áine and Cameron Russell co-founded the Model Activist Community, aka the Model Mafia, an activist group of models aiming to create a more equitable and sustainable fashion industry and world.[3][4]
As a model, Áine believes in a kinder fashion industry. “An ideal fashion industry would be one that is centered on culture and community and creativity,” said Áine in Vogue. [3] “Workers are paid livable wages among the supply chain, the environment is protected, the secondhand market is really big, materials are made organically with permaculture practices. Those all play a role.” [3]
In 2008, Áine played the piano in James Blunt’s ‘Love, Love, Love’.[5]
Modeling career[edit]
In 2011, Áine modeled the winning design for Red Carpet Green Dress, a competition launched by Suzy Amis-Cameron aimed at raising the profile of sustainable fashion designers.[6] [7]
Áine was first signed by Storm Management[2] and is currently represented by Role Models Management. [8]
