  • 19 October – The haze is back in Singapore, with the southwesterly winds blowing in the smoke from the fires in Sumatra.
  • 21 October – The haze enveloping Singapore reached unhealthy levels, with the PSI recording hitting a high of 108.
  • 27 October – Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announces a reshuffle of the Cabinet of Singapore.
