The 2021–22 season is Notts County's 160th year in their history and third consecutive season in National League. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup and the 2021–22 FA Trophy.

The Magpies confirmed they would play friendlies against Coalville Town,[1] AFC Telford United,[1] Boston United,[1] Derby County,[1] York City,[1] Tamworth[1] and Solihull Moors[1] during the pre-season period.
