The Stones announced friendlies against Rayners Lane, St Albans City, Bedford Town, Chesham United, Colchester United, Dorking Wanderers and Watford U23s as part of the clubs pre-season preparations.[1] On 9 July, an eighth friendly against Hungerford Town was added to the schedule.[2]
To make a start to a new partnership with Queens Park Rangers B, a friendly on 25 August 2021 was announced.[3] Two days later, the friendly match with QPR B was cancelled due to injuries and COVID-19 related issues within the QPR squad.[4]
