The 2021–22 season was Grimsby Town's 144th year in their history and first season back in National League since the 2015–16 season, following relegation the previous season. Along with the league, the club also competed in the FA Cup and the 2021–22 FA Trophy. They placed fifth in the season overall, and won the league play-offs to earn promotion to League Two.[1]
