2350 BC Middle East Anomaly

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The 2350 BC Middle East Anomaly was a natural disaster involving wildfires and floods and air blast of over 100 megatons power which appears to have been caused by a comet or asteroid impact. Umm al Binni lake in southern Iraq has been suggested as a possible impact site on the basis of deposits which have been found.[1] More recent sources have argued for a formation of the lake through the subsidence of the underlying basement fault blocks.[2][3]

An article by Baillie and McAneney in 2015 cites anomalies in Irish tree rings and does not mention Umm al Binni lake.[4]
