AS Rajeev is an Indian banker and the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bank of Maharashtra, one of the largest public sector banks in India. He assumed charge as MD and CEO of Bank of Maharashtra[1] on 2nd December 2018.[2]

AS Rajeev is a Mathematics graduate with FCA, MBA, DISA, and CAIIB professional qualifications.

Career[edit]

Mr Rajeev has almost three decades of professional banking expertise with three different banks: Syndicate Bank, Indian Bank, and Vijaya Bank. He is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of banking.

He was a director of NPCI and two of Indian Bank's subsidiaries, M/s. IndBank Merchant Banking Services Ltd. and M/s. IndBank Merchant Banking Services Ltd., while serving as Executive Director of Indian Bank. He had also served on a number of RBI/Government-appointed committees.

Mr. Rajeev managed key responsibilities of Finance, Accounts and Taxation, Planning & Development, International Banking, Treasury, Credit Monitoring and Supervision, and Vigilance at Vijaya Bank as General Manager and CFO.

He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Maharashtra.[3][4] He serves on the board of directors of Exim Bank and New India Assurance Co. Ltd. He's also a member of the IBPS Governing Body (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). He is also a member of the Indian Banks Association's Managing Committee and the Governing Body of the National Institute of Bank Management in Pune.
