History[edit]

In July 2012, Nakoula Basseley released an anti-Islamic short film Innocence of Muslims under the titles "The Real Life of Muhammad" and "Muhammad Movie Trailer".[4] Videos dubbed in Arabic were uploaded during early September 2012.[5]

So there was a strong reaction from Muslims against this film. In many countries, there were protests against it. Similarly, in Europe, a protest was held in front of the Parliament of London, led by Pir Alauddin Siddiqui.[6][3]

Purpose[edit]

The aim and the purpose of this movement was to make a law at the international level, especially in the European Union, to protect the honor of the founders of all religions, especially Muhammad. Anyone who insults a Prophet should be punished by obeying this law.[7]

October 2012 Protest[edit]

Alauddin Siddiqui called for a protest outside Parliament of London on October 6, 2012 to express his outrage at the recent film Innocence of Muslims, which was described as insulting the dignity of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He appealed to the Muslim Ummah to end their internal differences and unite under the banner of the Prophet of Islam. He spoke on the importance of a united front of the Muslim Ummah against Islamophobia.[8]

On Saturday, October 2012, thousands of Muslims gathered outside the Houses of Parliament in London to express their feelings about the importance of honoring Muhammad. The protest, titled "Alliance of Socialism Anti-Islamophobia Event", was attended by Muslims from all sects of the Islamic community, including speakers from both Sunni and Shia Islam.[6]

April 2013 Protest[edit]

In October 2013, a rally organised by Beralvi organizarion to demand end to anti-Islam speeches. In which thousands of Muslims travelled from different cities of European countries, were led in a colourful and peaceful long march lead by the Head of Tehreek e Namoos e Risalat Pir Alauddin Siddiqui which was end at Aston Park.[8][9]

According to resources 25,000 British Pakistani Muslims from across the United Kingdom gathered in Aston Park to express their feelings and love for Holy Prophet Muhammad.[10]

Speakers included interfaith leaders from Sikh, Christian, Jewish and Hindu religions and parliamentarians from Conservative, Liberal Democrats and Labour. Sardar Attique Khan, former Prime minister of Azad Kashmir, was the chief guest of the rally.[11] It was attended by Muslims from all sects of the Islamic community, including speakers from Sunni, deoband and Shia Islam.[12]
