AbdulJabbar Surajo Guga is the Founder/Chairman of Guga Global Foundation and the Director of Information Technology at Northwest Health Services in St. Joseph, Missouri USA.[1][2]

Background and education[edit]

Guga was born January 18th, 1986 into the family of Late Alhaji Surajo Bawa Guga of Guga Village in Bakori, Katsina State and Hajiya Sa'adatu Ibrahim of dunu village in Daura, Kastina.[2]

He had his high school education at the Kaduna capital school and All Saints international school between 2002 and 2006. He proceeded to Iowa Central Community College in the US where he bagged an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations (2008 – 2011). He also studied International Business at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.(2011 – 2014}

Career[edit]

Guga began his career working as a student in the US. In 2011, he started working as a Sales Associate for Sears Holdings Corporation. In 2012, he worked as a Sales Consultant for Best Buy. In 2014, he worked as an IT Support Coordinator for Triggerfish Corporation up till 2017.[2]

In July, 2017, Guga joined Northwest Health Services, Inc as an IT Manager. He rose through the ranks to become the current Director of Information Technology for the health care firm.[3]

Guga is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCPS) and a Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA).

Philanthropy[edit]

Guga engages in community development programs for his local community. As part of his giving back to society initiative, he built a community computer center in his village Guga under Bakori LGA of Katsina State.[4]

In 2017, he founded Guga Global Foundation, a charity organization that offers free education and health services to orphans and poor people in the rural areas of Katsina State Nigeria.[1]

Awards[edit]

In 2019, Guga was awarded the Garkuwa Matasan Hausa, a Daura Emirate Traditional Hausa Tittle Merit Award by His Royal Highness Emir of Daura Umar Farouk dan Umar.[5] He also received the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award in the same year.[6]
