"Act Two" is the season finale of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. It is the tenth episode overall of the series and depicts the second act of "High School Musical: The Musical," as it is preformed by the East High students.
Plot[edit]
After having seen is mother has brought her new boyfriend Todd to the school play "High School Musical: The Musical," Ricky Bowen, who plays the musical's lead part of Troy Bolton, decides to quit the performance halfway through, forcing E.J. Caswell to step up and finish the part[1]. Ricky talks with his mother, and the exchange does not go over well[1]. But then Gina talks Ricky into at least sitting on the sideline and watching the rest of the show[2].
When E.J. abandons Nini on stage Ricky, being the only other one who knows the part, must step up and finish the finale duet[3], however Nini is upset that the talent scout left halfway the preformance. During the final bows, Ms. Jenn gets closure about her one line in High School Musical not being aired with the rest of the movie, and afterwards Nini and Ricky share a kiss.
Later, Principal Gutierrez discovers that Ms. Jenn and Mr. Mazzara started the fire and Big Red reveals his secret tap dancing skills.
