Adobe Express[1] (formerly Adobe Spark)[2] is a unified task-based, web and mobile app developed by Adobe Inc.[3]

    History[edit]

In December of 2021, Adobe introduced Adobe Express. In May 2014, Adobe released three mobile apps which included Voice, Slate in April 2015, and Post in December 2015. Adobe later launched the Adobe Spark web tool in May 2016, which integrates the three mobile apps together for users on the web. With the made change, the three previous iPad and iPhone apps were renamed as Spark Post, Spark Page, and Spark Video.[4]

    Adobe Spark Post[edit]

Adobe Spark Post is a social graphics application for the iPad, iPhone, and Android device developed by Adobe Systems in December 2015. It combines text editing, desktop publishing, vector editing, and photo editing which is used to produce social media posts.[5]

Eventually in 2016, Adobe Post would become Spark Post due to the new Spark web tool. In 2018, the Spark team announced that Spark Post 2018 was now available for Android phones and tablets.[6]

On December 13, 2021, Adobe Spark Post was replaced by Adobe Creative Cloud Express for the iPad, iPhone, and Android.[7]

    Adobe Spark Page[edit]

Adobe Spark Page (formerly Project Luca)[8] is a text and photo storytelling application for the iPad and iPhone developed by Adobe Systems in April 2015. It combines word processing, desktop publishing, text editing, and photo editing which is used to produce typed or photo-edited stories.

Adobe launched the Slate app for the web in October 2015 enabling Slate projects to sync automatically between the web and iPad versions using Creative Cloud.[9] It eventually became Adobe Spark Page.[10]

    Adobe Spark Video[edit]

Adobe Spark Video is a video storytelling application for the iPad and iPhone developed by Adobe Systems in May 2014.[11] It edits users' voices, adds backing music, and then automatically generates animated motion graphics synchronizing the narration and corresponding visuals.[12]
