Ahmed Abou Hashima is the CEO of Egyptian Steel

Charitable work[edit]

Hashima was among the first to donate to the account 306306, which was created by businessmen to support the Egyptian economy after the 30 June revolution.[1] He was chosen by The Egyptian Achievements Organization, as one of the most influential Egyptians in the field of CSR in December 2013.[2] He has taken part in a charity project called “Nahr El Kheir” that supplied 1,500 Egyptian homes in rural areas, with clean tap water and sanitation.[3] He also sponsored the Egyptian Football Paralympics team and honored the top 40 students in Egypt for their academic achievements,[4] holding a ceremony for each. He donated more than 20,000 blankets to poor areas across Egypt when an unprecedented cold wave struck Egypt. He has also sponsored the Paralympics team again in 2014, as well as creating Al Masrieen Charity Foundation, which will be responsible for numerous charities starting May 2014.

Awards[edit]

Ahmed Abou Hashima was presented the Young CEO award, which is given to a successful CEO who is less than 40 years old. He is the first Egyptian businessman to be granted this honor. He’s currently nominated for a Golden Stevie Award, which will be held in Paris in October 2014.[5]
