Alex Lane (actor)
Alex Lane is an American actor, screenwriter and producer of Russian and Ukrainian origins. He also holds a Belgian citizenship, as he partially grew up in Antwerp, Belgium.
Career[edit]
Lane made his debut in the American TV series Sleeper Cell (TV series) for Showtime (TV network), and has since appeared in shows and films for Netflix, Amazon (company), Starz and other networks and streamers. Early on in his career, he also appeared in numerous TV commercials, notably for PlayStation alongside American Pro Football Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks and for T-Mobile alongside English singer and songwriter Robbie Williams.
After Lane rewrote and packaged the thriller The Maestro (film) for director Roland Joffé, Alex co-produced the thriller feature film Blackwater Lane (film), which is based on a B.A. Paris bestseller The Breakdown (2017).[1][2] The film stars Minka Kelly, Dermot Mulroney and Maggie Grace.[3]
Following Blackwater Lane (film), alongside the film's Executive Producer Oleg Shardin,[4] Lane co-founded production company Puma in a Tank, a film and TV production based out of Ireland.[5] Their upcoming slate includes the international crime-thriller series Thieves in Law (TV series) and the thriller feature film A Better Place (film) (both which Alex co-wrote with his writing partner Josh Berman).
