Alexey Spas is a business executive and software engineer. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Instinctools, a software development company.[1] He was a member of the Expert Council of the High Tech Park and served as an external advisor to the Ministry of Digital Development in Poland.
Career
In 2009, Spas co-founded and developed DITA webtop (later branded as DITAworks Webtop), a software-as-a-service platform for enterprise technical documentation management based on the Darwin Information Typing Architecture standard.[2]
In November 2011, Spas presented on Eclipse-based product development at the DISCOVER IT Belarus seminar held at the Maritim Hotel in Munich.[3]
Since 2014, he has served as a member of the Expert Council of the High Tech Park. His role involves evaluating technological proposals for new resident companies and advising on the economic growth of the region's IT cluster.[4]
In 2015-2018, Spas served as an external advisor to the Ministry of Digital Development in Poland regarding the implementation of digital transformation strategies for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In this capacity, he provided technical expertise on the adoption of cloud computing and artificial intelligence in the industrial sector.[5]
In September 2024, Spas represented Instinctools at the Forrester Technology & Innovation Summit in Austin, Texas, where the company participated as a Silver Sponsor. Together with Chad West, Managing Director at Instinctools USA, he introduced an AI-powered conversational chatbot designed for enterprise business communication.[6][7][8]
Instinctools
Instinctools is a software development and consulting company founded in 2000.[9][10] The company is headquartered in Maryland, United States, with additional offices in Stuttgart, Germany, and Warsaw, Poland. It also operates development centres in India, Latin America, and Kazakhstan.[11][12]
In November 2025, Instinctools launched a series of AI Adoption Workshops, a structured consulting format aimed at helping organisations develop practical artificial intelligence implementation strategies.[13][14] The workshops were made available to companies in both the United States and the European Union.
As of 2026, the company employs more than 400 people and holds ISO certifications.[citation needed] Its services include software development, digital product engineering, data analytics, and artificial intelligence implementation.[15]
