Alexia Thomas (born 2 March 1973), formerly known as Lizzy Henz, is a British politician and activist.[1][2] She is the founder and chairperson of The Commonwealth Liberation Party,[3] as well as founder and president of Independent Diplomat Commission, a not-for-profit organization that focuses primarily on equity and rights of Africans.[4][5]

Thomas has provided legal aid[6] to hundreds of people with immigration problems entering the UK.

She was known as Elizabeth Ihenyen before changing her name to Alexia Thomas in 2008, after her divorce.[citation needed]

Early life and family[edit]

At the age of 4, her mother separated from her father, and she and her three siblings were taken to a village in Oghabgo-Ekpomo, where her grandmother lived. At age 8, her father brought them back to Lagos, where they lived and grew up with their step mother.[7]

Thomas has a younger sister, Loveth, born in 1975, who lives in Canada; a younger brother, Alex, born in 1976, who lives in Nigeria; and another brother Victor, born in 1978, who lives in the United States.[citation needed]

In Nigeria, she started a music career in reggae. The music preached against political corruption in Africa and the West.[8] In 2001 she organized a festival for disabled people in her home country.[9]

Political activism[edit]

Thomas is the founder of the Commonwealth Liberation Party, a British political party in opposition to the government of David Cameron. Through the Commonwealth Liberation Party, she has proposed regulations against the current British government, using the royal prerogatives[clarification needed] of Queen Elizabeth II.[10] She predicted the queen would do this by 24 April 2016 if government ministers "fail to behave [them]selves." She has also proposed that all citizens of the Commonwealth be given unlimited freedom to travel to Britain until the countries of Africa and Asia "realise full civilization."[11]

Thomas opposes the deportation of illegal immigrants from the United Kingdom, alleging that behind these deportations is a secret campaign to rid the U.K. of coloured people [12]

Religion[edit]

Thomas has created her own religion called Saintism, where she is the Saint and other observers of the religion are called Saints.[13]
