Alhena is a Polish rock band from Bydgoszcz, founded in 2010.[1] They released a self-titled EP in 2011[2] and their debut album Breaking the Silence... ...by Scream on 4 October 2019.[3]
Music and reception
Alhena blends art rock with symphonic and progressive metal elements. The 2011 EP drew comparisons to The Gathering for its atmospheric sound and female vocals.[4] Breaking the Silence... ...by Scream earned 11/15 from Babyblaue Seiten, praised for rich arrangements.[5] Users rate it 4.0/5 on Prog Archives.[6] In 2023, the single "Nemesis 2.0" was highlighted by Indieterria for the band's technical proficiency.[7]
