Ali Sarhan Shamran[1] (January 19, 1994), a composer and singer from Iraq[2], who has become a known singer post 2014 ISIS war in Iraq. Ali, born on 1994, in the city of Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq, worked as a doctor[3] before the start of his music career. He started recording music in his hometown before his career took off in the late 2014 with his first song titled "Ashk". He released his first album titled “Etab,” which gained great popularity. His first appearance on national television was in 2019, with the song titled "Tetehmni"[4]. He has collaborated with many famous Middle Eastern artists. Ali Sarhan Shamran is considered one of the singers who sings Iraqi songs with wonderful tunes constantly in order to preserve its identity. He achieved the Iraqi celebrity award in 2020[5]. He started his career as a singer fairly young but did not have much success until later in life with his single (Etab). After a successful single, he started to sing for free in the hunting club to gain popularity, and rumors indicate that he was singing in parties held by wives of senior Iraqi officials and figures, especially Wedad al-Orfily. Ali recorded new singles based on poems. One such featuring single was made by Ali is (Basra).
