Amir Hussain Sikder

Amir Hussain Sikder (Bengali: আমির হুসেইন শিকদার) is a Bangladeshi diplomat and ambassador.

A career diplomat, Sikder had served in diplomatic missions in Manila, Islamabad, Bangkok and New Delhi, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[1]

In August 2002 Sikder began his tenure as High Commissioner of Bangladesh in South Africa.[1] In April 2005 he was appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Russia,[1] a position he held until Mohamed Mijarul Quayes was appointed as his replacement in May 2008.[2]
