Amos (formerly, Mammoth)[2] is an unincorporated community in Imperial County, California.[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 15 miles (24 km) east of Calipatria,[2] at an elevation of 262 feet (80 m).[1]
A post office operated at Amos from 1920 to 1931.[2]
