Tortuga is an unincorporated community in Imperial County, California.[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 10.5 miles (17 km) east-northeast of Calipatria,[2] at an elevation of 187 feet (57 m).[1] The name Tortuga means "turtle" in Spanish.
