Anna Brown (designer)
Anna Brown is a New Zealand typographer, book designer, and the director of Toi Āria,[1] an initiative that explores design for public good[2] based at Massey University College of Creative Arts.

Brown completed her Master of Design (MDes) degree at Massey University in 2012.[3]
Career[edit]
Brown has worked with many publishers, including Victoria University Press, Te Papa Press, and Random House.[4] She was formerly Director of Open Lab,[5] a studio within the School of Design at Massey University. Brown is also Chair of the board of Massey University Press.[6][7]
In 2017, Brown and her collaborator Jo Bailey won the Publishers' Association of New Zealand Book Design Award for Best Non-Illustrated book with Extraordinary Anywhere: Essays on Place from Aotearoa New Zealand.[8] The following year, Brown was on the judging panel for the awards.[9]
She is currently an Associate Professor at the Massey University College of Creative Arts, where she is Director of Projects and Partnerships.[10]
