Antony Salvestine
Antony Michael Salvestine (12 August 1937 — 15 October 1986) was an American actor. During the early stages of his career Salvestine was used primarily as a stunt double in various films and television shows, indebted to his muscular build and his adequate skills as a stuntman. However during the late-1960s directors used his skills to a greater advantage and Salvestine began to find himself cast in roles as heroic leading males, displaying macho qualities and tough guy personas.
Salvestine featured in leading and supporting roles in a series of Hollywood blockbusters including Ship of Fools (1965), Riders on the Storm (1966), Le Grande Heist (1968), Once Upon a Time in the West (1969), The House of the Rising Sun (1971), All the President's Men (1976), Murder Incorporated (1979) and Hush Hush (1985). Out of these roles Salvestine received nominations for two Oscar Awards, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
