Anurag Halder (Bengali: অনুরাগ হালদার; born 11 December 1998) is an Indian singer, lyricist, composer and playback singer from Kolkata, West Bengal. He is best known for his song Kashtiya, which was released by Zee Music Company in the year 2020.[1]

Early life[edit]

Halder’s mother is an Indian classical vocalist and inspired him in singing. When he was 8, he started learning Indian classical music. At the age of twelve, he started learning Guitar and Piano, then he started composing music from sixteen years old. Anurag completed his schooling at Barasat PCS Govt. High School, Kolkata.

Music[edit]

Halder had shifted to Mumbai in the year 2013 after participating in reality shows[2]. In 2019, he released Faasla as an independent artist and it was nominated for Indian Independent Music Awards by Hungama Music.

In 2020, Kashtiya was released from Zee Music Company.[3][4] Later he was featured on Red Indies Shuffle by Red FM 93.5 for his song Adhuri, which was shot in Ladakh and released by Pehchan Music.

In 2021, he released Kyun Bewajah, which was featured on #RSDailyMusic by Rolling Stone India.[5]

Apart from Hindi music, Anurag released a few Bengali songs too, such as Tui Elina, Ghum Pahara, Cholo Jaai and Icche Kore.
