Arsenije Teofanović (died May 15, 1753) was the Serbian Orthodox Bishop of Kostajnica from 1750 to 1753. [1]

Before he became a bishop, Arsenije Teofanović acquired a good education, studying in 1745 at the German University in Halle, where he picked up Old Greek and Hebrew as part of his theological studies. After the death of the Bishop of Kostajnica, Aleksije Andrejević (1749), the Metropolitan of Karlovac, Pavle Nenadović, decided to rearrange the diocesan network in the western areas of the Karlovac Metropolitanate. In that sense, during the election of Arsenij Teofanović as the new bishop of Kostajnica (1750), two very important decisions were made: Lika and Krbava were excluded from the jurisdiction of the bishop of Kostajnica and transferred to the jurisdiction of the bishop of Gornja Karlovac, and the entire area of -Lepavina diocese. Thus, Arsenije Teofanović, as the bishop of Kostajnica, received a vast area from Banija in the south to the Varaždin general in the north, with two main spiritual centers in the Serbian Orthodox monasteries of Komogovina and Lepavina.
