Ashraful Alam Khokon, a former student of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University

began his journalism career as a university news reporter, he was the General Secretary of Dhaka University Journalists Association. He started his Electronic media Journalist career on 2 July 2002 At Bangladeshi famous television media named “Channel i”, he was seriously injured in the grenade attack on August 21, 2004 in the Awami League rally. On 14 August 2013, Ashraful Alam Khokan was appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister. Before joining as the Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister in 2013, Ashraful Alam Khokon was the Chief Operating Officer of Channel i North America & stated in New York, he has worked for 6 years in this position. Second time He was re-appointed as Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister on August 18, 2014, he has re-appointed as Deputy press secretary-1 of the prime minister of Bangladesh on 7 January 2019 for 5 years term.

Career[edit]

Khokan started his Electronic Media Journalist career on 2 July 2002 at Channel i. He was seriously injured in a grenade attack on 21 August 2004 in the Awami League rally.[4][5] He went to cover this program as journalist.[5] He is carrying 100 plus grenade splinter in his body.[5]

On 14 August 2013, Khokan was appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister.[6] Before joining as the Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister in 2013, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Impress Telefilm Limited's Channel i, North America Region in New York.[6]

Khokan has worked for 6 years in this position. Second time He was re-appointed as Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister on August 18, 2014. He has re-appointed as Deputy Press Secretary-1 of the Prime Minister on 7 January 2019 for 5 years term.[3][2]
