Before they can leave, Azamgarh's Maulvi Ashraf Ali (Pankaj Tripathi) is arrested in connection with the bomb blasts in Delhi. In Aligarh, Amir is instigated by Muslims to join Ashraf Ali's gang. Though Aamir is hesitant at first, he eventually relents.
