Balen Shah (Nepali: बालेन शाह; 27 April 1990 ) is a Nepali rapper and Structural Engineer better known by his stage name Balen. Balen Shah is a Nepali Rapper, Music Composer, Song Writer, Director and Structural Engineer. Home town being Kathmandu, Balen lives in Gairigaun, Sinamangal. Rapper Balen is best known for his freestyles in Battle raps. He is the winner of Second Season of Raw Barz ( A Nepali Rap Battle League). He got into lime light after winning a battle against Litl Grizl with 13 Rebuttals and multisyllable rhymes in a freestyle. Balen shah has worked in all 7 states of nepal as structural designer, supervision consultant and construction manager for Buildings, Bridges, Road and other infrastructural projects. Design and Construction of Schools, Hospitals, Tourism destination, Industrial Zones etc are of his major interests.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Balen Shah is Son of Veteran Ayurvedic Doctor, Dr. Ram Narayan Shah and Dhruva Devi Shah. He lives in Gairigaun, Teenkune Kathmandu. He completed his schooling from Alliance Academy and +2 from V.S Niketan College.

EDUCATION:

Balen has done his Bachelors of Engineering in Civil from White House Institute of Technology. He Completed his Masters of Technology in Structural Engineering from VTU, Karnataka.

Balen has worked in various districts of Nepal like, Gorkha, Lamjung, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk, Kathmandu, Janakpur, Udayapur etc. He has worked for the construction of 28 temporary houses in Gorkha immediately after Earthquake (7.8 on Richter scale). He has done Damage Assessment of more than 1500 houses all over nation. He played important role in construction of 2500 houses in Panchkhal, Kavre by leading 5 engineers, 2 Architects and Social supervisors as Reconstruction Project. He has Worked as Construction engineer in a Bridge project in Dudhmati Khola. Formerly he was Technical Advisor in a non-governmental Organisation ASF Nepal and Habitat For Humaniry Nepal. He has worked as Structural Engineer and Project Manager at Platinum Developers. He is Deputy General Manager at Padma group of Companies.

He has worked as designer, supervision consultant and Construction manager in all 7 states of nepal.He has been to 65 districts of nepal.
