Bangarang is an American independent music group formed in Dallas in 2001. The band is currently based in Denton, Texas. It currently consists of sole founding member, songwriter, drummer and multi-instrumentalist Randy Cochran and employs a revolving cast of musicians who play on various tours and projects. Musicians who have played in or recorded with the band include guitarist Zach Palmer of Rei Clone, violinists Leoncarlo Canlas and Sharla Franklin, guitarist Jason Ferguson, multi-instrumentalist Charlie DeBolt of Teenage Sexx, bassist Mark Pirro of Tripping Daisy and The Polyphonic Spree, guitarist Alexi Dollar of Soggy, the filmmaker Erin Devany, and the poet and writer Sean Enfield.

The band's sound has been described as "psychedelic noise-pop" and "space trash dream gaze".
