Ben Archuleta, known professionally as Ben A; is an American electronic house music DJ and producer from Denver, Colorado. He mainly produces tech house music, in addition to other genres as part of the Factory Planets project. Ben A has performed opening DJ sets for numerous famed acts including Bad Boy Bill, Gorgon City, and Grammy nominated electronic music duo Disclosure. Performances that took place during his residency at Denver's internationally renowned, Beta Nightclub, recognized by DJ Magazine as the Number 1 nightclub in North America (2011)..[1], Number 1 Dance Club in America by Rolling Stone (2013)[2], and in the Top 25 Greatest Dance Clubs of All Time by Billboard Magazine (2015)[3]
His released tracks include multiple collaborations with other notable DJs and producers including Grammy Nominated artists Eddie Amador, and Andy Caldwell. On November 25, 2021, The Cube Guys remix of Ben A's collaboration with Alejandro Penaloza, 'Overview of the Conga' (Cube Recordings, 2021) reached #1 on the Traxsource Tech House Top 10, and climbed to #7 on the Traxsource Top 100[4]. In 2019, Ben A's track, ID Check was included in the Toolroom Records[5] compilation, Toolroom Ibiza 2019[6].
In 2019, 2020, and 2021, Ben A earned the honor of being named an Official Artist of the Annual Winter Music Conference (WMC)[7]. In May, 2021, a live set he recorded was included as part of the conference’s WMC Virtual[8] programming and later featured by Magnetic Magazine[4]. In addition to his own musical projects, Archuleta also manages Chicago-based House music label, Moody Recordings[9], alongside Bad Boy Bill, and Beatport co-founder, Jonas Tempel[10]
