Berly Thomas is an Indian blogger, journalist, novelist and screenwriter from Kerala, India. He is best known for Berlytharangal, one of the most widely read Malayalam blogs in Kerala, which he ran for over a decade from the mid-2000s. He works as a journalist for Malayala Manorama and writes novels for Manorama Weekly.

Berly Thomas is a postgraduate in Economics from Kerala, India. He has been working in the media industry since 2003, with a focus on business and technology reporting since 2010.
Blogging Career
Berly Thomas rose to fame through his blog Berlytharangal (berlytharangal.com), which became one of the most popular Malayalam blogs in Kerala during the late 2000s and early 2010s. The blog covered a wide range of topics including culture, society and humour, and gained a large readership across Kerala and among Malayali communities worldwide. Tech blogger Digital Tyke described the blog as one of the most popular Malayalam blogs, noting its distinctive writing style and wide readership.[1]
Blogger and reviewer Nikhilesh Menon described Berly Thomas as having been "the superstar of the Malayalam blogosphere" for one and a half decades from the early 2000s, noting that even after he stopped blogging he remained active as a journalist and novelist.[2] His blog Berlytharangal has been cited alongside other pioneering Malayalam blogs as having "led to the blogging revolution in Kerala in the late 2000s."[3]
He was featured as Blogger of the Week on Darshana TV's programme E-Lokam, a Malayalam television show dedicated to the internet and blogging community.[4][5]

Berly Thomas works as a Senior Sub Editor at Malayala Manorama, one of India's most widely circulated newspapers, and contributes to its digital platform OnManorama. He has been active in journalism since 2003 and has focused on business and technology reporting since 2010. He also interned with the CBC News Business Content Unit in Toronto, Canada.[7]
Writing Career
Berly Thomas writes novels for Manorama Weekly and Manorama Books. His novel Reels, published by Manorama Books, received independent reviews praising its readability and social commentary on the Malayalam film industry.[8] His books are available through Kerala Book Store.[9]
