Betsy Pepine is an American entrepreneur in the real estate industry and the founder of Pepine Realty.[1][2]

Early life and education

Betsy Pepine was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Gainesville, Florida, in 1974.[3][4] She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[3][5][4] Before entering the real estate field, Pepine spent twelve years working in pharmaceutical marketing research and consulting.[6][3]

Career

In 2009, Pepine founded Pepine Realty, a brokerage firm in Gainesville, Florida.[6][5][2][7] Under her leadership, the company earned recognition on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2018 and 2020.[3][8][9][10] In 2020, the Wall Street Journal ranked Pepine Realty as the 64th team-owned brokerage in the United States.[3] The brokerage has also been listed among the Top 50 Florida Companies to Watch and named as one of Florida Trend's Best Companies to Work For.[3][5]

In 2018, Pepine established Pepine Gives, a nonprofit organization focusing on housing insecurity by providing affordable housing solutions in Alachua County.[3][5][8][9] Pepine Gives partners with Alachua Habitat for Humanity to sponsor homes for cost-burdened families.[11][12][13][14] The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors has recognized her contributions to the real estate sector.[15][4]
