Betty Zormelo is a Ghanaian human resource practitioner and business executive. She is the Managing Director of Zormelo & Associates, where she is responsible for human resource consulting services.[1]
Education
Zormelo holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of West London.[1] She also obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of London and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ghana. She was called to the Ghana Bar in 1988.[1]
She has been a member of the Institute of Personnel Development, United Kingdom, since 1996.
Career
Zormelo has over 25 years of experience in human resource management, both locally and internationally. Her work has focused on strategic and operational human resource management.[1]
She worked as a Training Manager with British Rail and later served as a Principal Consultant at Deloitte & Touche.
Zormelo also held several roles within Barclays, including Head of Human Resource Operations at Barclays Africa. Prior to that, she served as Human Resource Director for Barclays Bank of Ghana, Regional Head of Human Resources for Northern Africa, and Functional Human Resource Business Partner at the Barclays Africa regional office in Johannesburg, South Africa.[1][2]
She currently serves as Managing Director of Zormelo & Associates, a human resource consulting firm.[3]
Board membership
Zormelo has served as a board member of Camelot Ghana Limited.[2]
