Bodil Jönsson
Bodil Agneta Jönsson, born on September 12 in 1942 in Helsingborg, is a Swedish physicist and author. She is an Emeritus and has been associated with Certec in Lund since 1993.
Biography[edit]
After finishing high school in 1960 in Halmstad, Bodil Jönsson studied physics and mathematics at Lund University. She obtained her PhD in 1972 with a thesis about radiation transitions induced by fast neutrons.[1]
Soon after obtaining her degree, Jönsson and others initiated the founding of the centre for rehabilitation technology Certec at Lund University where she worked as a lecturer from 1997 on-wards and became a professor in 1999.
Bodil Jönsson reached some fame in Sweden through the tv show Fråga Lund answering physics questions. Additionally, she authored numerous popular science books and hosted several episodes of the popular Swedish radio shows Sommar (August 13 1991, August 13 1992, June 21 1996) and Vinter (January 1st 2010, December 31 2013) on Sveriges Radio P1.
