Brad Jurjens (born 8 December 1976) is an Estonian-American musician, filmmaker and actor.
Born and raised in Viljandi, Estonia, he moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue music and film.
Career[edit]
He wrote, co-produced and directed an action film “Hired Gun” (2009)[1], which was picked up by Netflix for the US market, and by Nikkatsu in Japan. The film starred Michael Madsen, Johann Urb, Said Faraj and Fahim Fazli.
In 2014, he performed at the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards in Las Vegas with Weston Cage, son of actor Nicolas Cage.[2]
In 2016, Brad was picked by Yngwie Malmsteen to perform at the Guitar Gods Festival in Miami, FL. alongside Steve Vai, Gus G and Nico McBrain from Iron Maiden.[3]
In 2017 he released his first solo album “Deranged”, which featured ex-Malmsteen and current Sons of Apollo singer Jeff Scott Soto, David Ellefson from Megadeth, Brandon Pertzborn from Marylin Manson, and many others.[4]
He has been the lead guitarist of the band Must Hunt since March 2018. The band also includes drummer Marko Atso, formerly of Estonian folk metal band Metsatöll.
Personal life[edit]
His mother is a piano teacher. Brad is married to Heddy Bergstein, a graphic designer. They have one daughter, Roselyn. He was previously engaged to The Iron Maidens’ guitarist Nikki Stringfield.
