Callum Andrew Robertson, (born 1998) is a British Liberal Democrat teacher and education commentator.

He is a regular commentator on education issues on a variety of print and broadcast media.

Early & Professional Career[edit]

Growing up in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, he moved to Essex where he read law at Essex University and worked full time in a variety of legal roles, including a spell in child and education law for national children's charity Coram.

After graduating, he worked as a Human Rights Advocate, at Salam for Democracy and Human Rights with Jawad Fairooz.

He then went on to train as a history teacher with the Harris Federation.[1]

Qualifying as a teacher, he now works as a Head of Citizenship and Religious Education at a state school in Essex, whilst also teaching Law & Politics.[2]

He also serves as an AQA RS Examiner.

Media Commentary[edit]

He first began commenting on education issues in his local paper in 2016, arguing for a greater number of people in university.[3]

Following this, he then began commenting on a wider range of policy areas including childhood obesity and school standards. He began regular commentary on a number of TV stations, speaking on education issues in his capacity as the Policy Officer for the Liberal Democrat Education Association.[4]

Political & other activities[edit]

Robertson is currently the Liberal Democrat Education Association Policy Officer and is a former Liberal Democrat candidate for Parliament for the constituency of Clacton-on-Sea.[5][6]

He has also got a book deal with Pen & Sword to produce "The Forgotten Role of Gaius Cassius Longinus in the assassination of Julius Caesar.[7]
