Carlos Paul Parra Ruiz[1][2](Los Mochis, Sinaloa; January 23, 1997 - Phoenix, Arizona; May 6, 2023) better known as Carlos Parra was an internet celebrity, YouTuber, singer, composer and vocalist of the musical group Los Parras.

Biography[edit]
Parra was born on January 23, 1997, in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico;[3] His mother was Paola Ruiz,[4] his siblings were Luna Parra, Christian Parra and César Parra, the latter of whom he was a twin.[5][6] His father's identity is still unknown to this day.[4]
In 2016, the regional Mexican musical group Los Parras was created together with his brothers, of which he was a part as a vocalist along with his brother César who played guitar and Christian the accordion,[2] publishing singles such as: "Recargado en la barra" (together to Ada Olea),[7] Por verte feliz[8] or Ya Te Superé (Live).[9] The next year (2017) they also released their first album titled Yo Ya Te Olvide.
He began his career as a YouTuber in 2020 with his first video published on the YouTube social network, however it was never a career for which Parra was recognized, that is, it could be considered a simple Hobby.[10]
His partner since February 13, 2020 was Lilian Griego, whom he met in 2014 after having "met" on different occasions and events, leading to the beginning of their relationship in 2020. In 2023, they were engaged to get married, however this did not happen due to Parra's death in May of the same year.[11][12][13]

According to what was announced, on May 6, 2023, Parra was traveling with his brothers and mother from Phoenix, Arizona to Mexico in order to celebrate the birthday of his older brother Cristian, however they were victims of a car accident in which caused the death of Carlos. The news of his death was announced through a publication made on the official Instagram account of the musical group to which he belonged, with the description <<To all the friends, family, fans of the group with a broken heart, we want to inform you that on the day Yesterday we had a car accident where our Brother, Carlos Parra, lost his life. RIP little brother we love you>>.[14]
The news was quickly announced by the media, including a video that emerged about the alleged accident showing the car on fire in the streets of Phoenix, videos which were never 100% confirmed to be real.[15][16][17]
The next day, on May 8, 2023, a second publication was made on the group's official Instagram account, this time a publication in which they called to invite fans of the singer to the wake two days later on the 10th. May, and the mass and funeral on May 11, accompanied by the text <<To all our people we want to inform you of the services of Our Brother Carlos Parra, those who like to join us. We thank you for all the expressions of affection and concern, Blessings!>>.[1]Thanks to such a communication and invitation, it was possible to document what it was like, as well as the wake and funeral, most of them shared through the Internet. social TikTok.[18][19][20]
