Cedric Anthony Fourie (born 17 March 1990) is a South African actor, best known for his work on television dramas and soap operas. He gained widespread popularity for his breakthrough roles in major South African TV series, including Generations: The Legacy and Skeem Saam.[1]

Early life and education

Cedric Fourie was born on 17 March 1990 in Orlando, Soweto, Gauteng. He was raised by his single mother alongside his siblings while growing up in the vibrant township of Soweto.[2]

He attended several schools during his early education, including Greyville Primary School, Lenasia, and Princess Primary School, and later completed his secondary schooling at Athlone Boys High School.[3]

After earning a scholarship, Fourie studied at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he graduated with a degree related to engineering before eventually pursuing his passion for the arts.[4][5]

Career

Early Work

Before entering the entertainment industry, Fourie worked as a network engineer for major telecommunications companies.[3][6]
