Stallone Santino (born 21 February 1992) is a South African actor, director, producer and entertainer. He is best known as a finalist on Mr South Africa 2016.[1] Santino was a producer on the Weekend Playdate, a radio show hosted by Nicole Da Silva on 5FM.[2]
Career[edit]
Santino performed in and directed several theatre productions.
His directorial debut, a 2013 student production and psychological thriller, Rituale Romanum The Strange Case of Anneliese that was about Anneliese Michel.[3][4] premiered at the National Arts Festival as part of a double-bill.[5]
He wrote, and performed his first one-man comedy show titled Dream Boy[6] which was staged at the National Arts Festival. He then went on to produce Atholl Fugard's Boesman and Lena for pupils learning the work at school[7][better source needed].[8][better source needed]
Santino also worked within the Applied Drama arena where he staged an awareness production around HIV and AIDS at the Drama for Life, Sex Actually Festival[9] in Johannesburg.
In 2014, Santino joined The Industrial Theatre Troupe in South Korea and directed[citation needed] The Cmplt Wrks of The Brthrs Grm (Abridged).[10]
After returning to South Africa, he started work at 5FM and worked as a radio producer for The Weekend Playdate.[11] He has appeared on a CliffCentral podcast with Arye Kellman[12] and has acted in the SABC 1 soap opera Generations:The Legacy[13] in a one minute appearance as a hotel manager.[14] Other notable appearances include Mela[15] on SABC 3. He has acted in the international radio drama Big Data by Ryan Estrada.[16][non-primary source needed]
