Chantelle Lee is a British singer/songwriter based in London. After quickly gaining a following on social media, she released her single 'When I Think of You', donating all royalties to Five Acre Wood charity, a school for children with severe learning difficulties[1].
Biography
Born and raised in Singapore, Chantelle has spent most of her years travelling around the globe as an international student. Her songwriting and music are therapeutic to her stress; having a pure and unfiltered talent for singing and songwriting, she has collaborated with Naughty Boy, Martin Garrix and Alan Glass. [2]
Early life
Lee is currently living in London with her mother Helen Williams. Lee's father is Singaporean and her mother is British. She is managed by Skylet Andrew, a former Great Britain table tennis player.[3] Lee is a student at Dwight School London, and her artwork made the shortlist for a competition along with three other students from her school.[4]
Career
Lee released a charity single 'When I Think of You', giving all her royalties to charity.[5] Lee has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, known for its prestigious performances by artists such as Nina Simone[6].
NOW Magazine quoted Chantelle Lee as The Next Biggest Millennial. Lee opened the European Sino-Summit[7][8] and the Heart Radio Music Festival.[9] She has already been featured in Teen Vogue and Guess (clothing) campaigns, pursuing her triple threat career in music, modelling and acting.[10]
Her first single release was 'Perfect Hour' in 2015. The single was the official song for Alex Dowsett's Hour Record, where he broke track cycling's world hour record by 446 metres.[11]
Personal Life
Lee grew up in a musical family, being taught piano from a young age. Her two older brothers are producers in the EDM scene, collaborating in the genre of dance music.[12]. Lee is interested in exploring the pathways of politics and social science, quoting 'I have always had strong humanitarian motives and since humanities has always been a subject of interest to me, I am planning to study PPE or Political Science in university whilst pursuing my music'.[13]
