Detroit native, Charles “Gator” Moore is considered to be a most soulful male vocalist from the city. Gator gained recognition as an entertainer as a member of the Universal Music Group R&B/Soul trio "The Transitions" assembled by New Edition member Michael Bivins. The Transitions appeared on the Essence Magazine first music CD entitled “The Love Songs” and their debut Lp "Back In Da Days",[1] March 27, 2001 was largely produced by Kay Gee of Naughty By Nature. BET premiered the group’s first video of the single entitled “Ghetto Laws” where Gator displayed his acting abilities alongside Charlie Murphy (from the movie Harlem Nights & also brother to actor Eddie Murphy). Charles "Gator" Moore's vocal talents earned him a placement on John Singleton's "Baby Boy" movie and soundtrack, singing his soulful, sexy ballad “Straight F***ing,” as well as Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little Girls" movie soundtrack, where he gives a stellar performance of the soulful Sam Cooke classic "A Change is Gonna Come".
After being away from the industry for a while to perfect his solo music, Charles "Gator" Moore' returned to the industry with the first release of the mid-tempo single "Makin' It Feel”[2] released January 9, 2015 from his upcoming debut EP "Chapters To My Soul", with the followup single "Miracle",[3] a luxurious, sweet, smooth ballad.
