Cimenrita was a train station on the Line 8-Diamond operational extension, formerly operated by CPTM, located in the municipality of Itapevi.[1]

History

After Pedreira Santa Rita was acquired in the early 1950s by the Italian group Calci e Cementi di Segni, the new owner invested in the construction of a cement factory between 1954-56. To carry out the work, the Italian company requested the São Paulo state government to build a bypass at kilometer 40 of the Sorocabana Trunk Line. Around that time, a stop appeared in front of the factory, called Parada Quilômetro 40. The cement factory was opened in 1958, being named Cimento Santa Rita S/A, with its telegraphic address called "Cimenrita".[2] In the 1960s, the name Cimenrita began to designate the region surrounding the factory and the stop.[3]

On April 30, 2010, Cimenrita Stop was deactivated by CPTM to carry out modernization works on the Itapevi–Amador Bueno operational extension. Although the extension was reopened in 2014, Cimenrita Stop was demolished due to lack of demand
