CNews Live, a Malayalam language News Portal under the aegis of the Global Media Cell.[1] Global Media Cell is an international association of NRI Catholic Lay Faithful based in the Middle East, Oceania, America and Europe. CNews Live is the first of its kind among several news portals in Malayalam, managed and staffed exclusively by the Christian Lay leadership. With the management and collaborators spread across all continents, it is a towering example of networking, team work, and cooperation between various segments of the Catholic lay faithful with the support and goodwill of the hierarchy.
Yet another unique highlight about CNews is that it strikes a unique blend of the secular and the sacred, the political and religious, the social and the spiritual, the Nation and the Church. The emblem of the CNews is a perfect epitome of this unique synthesis whereby the very symbol ‘C’ in CNews stands for Christ and Christian on the one hand Core and Classic on the other. Christ here is understood in metaphorical senses of embodying the perfect ideals of an authentic humanism. Accordingly, the portal envisages a Church founded on the values of the Kingdom of God such as Truth, Justice, and Peace and the universal brotherhood of humanity drawn from the Fatherhood of God.
The overarching integral vision of the CNews media is reflected in the vast of coverage of themes under a broad array of sections such as Kerala, India, International, Art, Culture, Literature, Science, Agriculture, Education, Youth, Religion, Cinema, etc. [2] Apart from the theoretical and academic contents, CNews can boast of the hosting vast resources with practical and entertaining values targeting the families, youth, and the kids. Current Affairs, Infotainment, Family and Religion are the most trending sections on the CNews. CNews thus caters to the Christians and non-Christians alike with a superabundance of resources relevant to his or her integral existence.
In depth analysis of current affairs, critical appropriation of the current corporate media culture, honest and objective representation of the Church affairs, firm commitment to the causes of truth against the travails of the post-truth age, etc., constitute the central pillars of the vision and mission statement of the CNews.[3] Lamenting about the corruption and polarization in the media culture today, it promises to stand apart in its commitment to authentic journalism and is determined to uphold the pristine ideals of the media mission. While Malayalam remains the primary medium on the site, its subdomain carries resources and materials in English targeting particularly the NRI Youth.

CNews Live was founded on September 8,2020.
CNews Live was formally launched in an online ceremony held on September 8, 2020. KCBC Media Commission Chairman Mar Joseph Pamplany blessed the Website and Mr. K.C John performed the screen launching. CNews Live operates under the patronage of Hon. Justice Kurian Joseph (Rtd., Supreme Court of India) and is guided by a team of reputed advisers such as Shri. Jacob Punnoose IPS (Former DGP), Prof. Dr. K. Babu Joseph (Former VC, CUSAT).
