Cyrillisation of English

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

While the English language is exclusively written in the Latin script, there have been many attempts to adapt the Cyrillic script for English.

Cyrillised English alphabets have been based on many existing Cyrillic alphabets, including Bulgarian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.

Alphabets[edit]

Cyrenglish[edit]

The Cyrenglish (Сырє̋ҥглиш) alphabet was developed by Holden Funk.[1] It is based on Canadian English pronunciation.

Cyrillisch[edit]

The Cyrillisch (Сириллиш) alphabet was created by Niño Eduardo Evan Fernandez.[2] Its use was intended for English, German and Japanese. It is based on the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet.

Renglish[edit]

The Renglish (Ренглиш) alphabet was adapted by Level Leap Inc.[3] It is based on the Russian and Serbian Cyrillic alphabets.
