Döwletjan Ýagşymyradow (Russian: Довлетджан Ягшимурадов; born 1990) is a Turkmen mixed martial artist. The first representative of Turkmenistan, who became the champion in mixed martial arts ACB (Absolute Championship Berkut) and ACA (Absolute Championship Akhmat).[1]

Biography[edit]

From six years old, before school, he was engaged in karate, in the rural section, in Çärjew District.[2] The very first title is the champion of Turkmenistan in karate among children at the age of 11, then - the first place in the national tournament of hanmudo.

At the age of 17 went to serve in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. Has the title of senior sergeant.[3]

In 2009 he entered the Kharkiv National University of Economics, the faculty of management and marketing.

Career[edit]

Döwletjan began professional sports career in 2012. Champion of Turkmenistan in karate, champion of the Kharkiv region in free-fighting and grappling.

In May 2018 became the light heavyweight champion of the Absolute Championship Berkut, having won a landslide victory over the current owner of this title by Russian Batraz Agnaev.[4]

In Warsaw, at the tournament, ACA 92: Yagshimuradov vs. Celiński he won the first championship belt of the organization. In the main battle, Döwletjan Ýaşgymuradow by technical knockout in the fourth round defeated Polish light heavyweight Karol Celiński. This is the fifth win in a win-win series of Ýaşgymuradow in the organization.[5]

On December 14, 2019, Döwletjan Ýagşymyradow defended the AСA light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg) by defeating Russian Alexey Butorin. The main fight of the evening in the framework of the ACA 103 tournament took place in St. Petersburg at the Sibur Arena[6][7]. The fight lasted all five rounds. Ýagşymyradow won the match with a referee’s decision[8][9].
