Daniel Faggella (/ˈdænjəl 'fɑdʒɛlɑ/) is the founder and Head of Research at Emerj Artificial Intelligence Research, and a globally recognized speaker on the use-cases and ROI of artificial intelligence in business, artificial intelligence researcher, and podcast host.
Early life and education
Daniel Faggella was "born in Wakefield, Rhode Island, he now lives in Boston.".[1]. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Rhode Island[2], and later received a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania[3][4]
Career
Daniel's career began during his college years[2][5] when he started a number of businesses, including a martial arts academy in his hometown of Wakefield, an email marketing firm and consulting firm, and Science of Skill, an Inc 500 e-Commerce company[6][7][8] that he sold in 2017[9].
In 2012 Faggella started Techemergence.com as a personal blog on the long term future impact of AI[10]. By 2019, Techemergence became Emerj Artificial Intelligence[11][12], a market research and publishing firm focused on the business applications of AI.
Daniel has spoken about artificial intelligence for the United Nations[13][14][15], Interpol[13][16], the World Bank[17], he speaks at industry events - primarily in banking and financial services[18][19] - and has given a number of TEDx talks about the long-term future of AI[20]
AI in Business Podcast
The AI in Business Podcast (originally titled TechEmergence Podcast)[21] started in 2013,[22] and "interviews top AI executives from Fortune 500 firms and unicorn startups - to uncover trends, use-cases, and best practices for practical AI adoption."[23]
Past guests include the Head of Core Machine Learning at Facebook[24], the Former Head of AI at HSBC[25], the Head of AI at Ratheon[26], as well as C-level executives in companies like DataRobot, Datacube and many more in addition to some of the most important scientists in the entire field of Machine Learning, including Yoshua Bengio[27], and Stuart Russel[28]
