Day of Love (Russian: День любви is a 1990 drama film directed by Aleksandr Polynnikov.[1][2][3]

Plot[edit]

To distract the police from a major robbery, the head of the criminal group conceived a series of rapes, and he cynically called the time when they would happen "Day of Love." In revenge for the girl who became one of the victims of this day, her father and stepfather join the fight with the bandits.[4]

Cast[edit]

Critical response[edit]

Film critic Alexander Fedorov noted:[5]

One problem - the imitation of American thrillers and detective stories turned out to be studiously diligent, but, to put it mildly, not very professional. Tricks lack effectiveness. The physical data of the actors are far from the sports training of Van Damme. “Action” scenes are edited languidly, without fiction ... Yes, loving American entertainment films and making American entertainment films are not at all the same thing!
